The first time Dev and I met was when she saw me - the day I was born! We hadn't even learned to walk and talk and she displayed actions of care and concern for her new born sister. As we were growing up: 90% of the times we wanted to kill each other and other 10% of the times we wanted to save each other from our parents. When she moved to the States, I missed her terribly as I realized how caring and compassionate she was; moreover a best friend who took care of everything! She is not just an elder sister but also a mother! Her journey in the States made me happy at times and made me cry at times. At the same time my respect for her increased tremendously. Its time now for her to start a new chapter of life and I guess I am more nervous than she or our parents are! With her positive attitude, determination, loving and caring nature, I am sure she is gonna be a Fab wife! I wish her good-luck and an ocean of happiness for this new role of her life! Love you! :)

On a more serious note This was my first experience meeting our dearest Devashree. I met her through our good friend Nithya. Who was my roommate then and Deva's acquaintance. The friendship between Deva (as I call her) and I grew and strengthened over ubli hui chai, hand made fulka rotis and late night SRK movie reruns. She is a great friend, an even better sister and the best daughter any parents can ask for. Sometimes she is too good and ends up side tracking her own needs and wants and then you have to set her straight!! I have been fortunate enough to be a part of her life and witness her being the sensitive, caring, generous and open hearted person we all know her as. Deva has taught me to be more humble and appreciative of life. She herself has been through many ups and downs but being the resilient person she is- she has turned all downs into opportunities for ups. As she steps into this new journey- I can already envision the new and beautiful life she and Jay will create together. Wish you nothing but happiness, laughter and prosperity in this new venture!
